Afternoon
Continue to Cu Chi to explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, where the Viet Cong hid during the Vietnam War. This legendary underground network stretches over 200 kilometers and once functioned as a hidden city, complete with trapdoors, living quarters, storage areas, weapon workshops, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone” in the 1960s, and the site still bears clear evidence of the fierce battles fought here. Watch a short introductory video explaining how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels yourself. Spend time exploring the tunnel system, then enjoy tea and boiled cassava—the staple food of guerrilla fighters during wartime.
